UNECE provides transport-statistics resources and access to its statistical work. National transport departments may provide more detailed domestic series.
Before comparing observations
Keep passenger counts separate from passenger-kilometres, and freight tonnes separate from tonne-kilometres. Record transport mode, geography and whether the period is a calendar or financial year.
Use the publisher's documented download or API options. Preserve the dataset identifier, selected dimensions, access date and source licence with an extract.
